This document serves as a starting point for those new to the Network Security Toolkit. After reading this document, one should have a better understanding of the following:
What type of hardware is required.
How to acquire the Network Security Toolkit ISO image and burn it to a CD.
How to boot the Network Security Toolkit from CD.
How to gain access to the system after it comes up.
How to automate and customize the boot process.
This document does not go into details about the various networking tools included in the ISO image. Additional documentation to making use of the networking tools included on the ISO image can be found at the Network Security Toolkit web site.
